MONROE CHILI BOWL
Coming In Jan.

December 28, 2016

(MONROE, WA.) -- The first annual Monroe Chili Bowl is set for January 31st.

The event will be held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the East County Senior Center located at 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe 98272.

You're welcome to come and sample a variety of Chili's, then cast your vote for your favorite bowl.

The mighty Chronicle is assured that, "Many local businesses will be competing for the coveted "Golden Spoon." And you know what that means pal; instant fun.

Gonna be a hoot n' a holler.

So, to place your vote you can either place $$ in the bucket or bring canned food. $1 = 1 vote or 1 can of food = 1 vote. There will also be cornbread, beer garden and "chili survival packs" for sale.

The event benefits the East County Senior Center, Sky Valley Food Bank, Monroe Boys & Girls Club and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.

Be there or be square dude.

But don't eat too much chili. Remember that old adage, "Beans beans the musical fruit, the more you eat the more you..."
