(SULTAN, WA.) -- Do you recognize the car in the photo? Sultan Police have identified the vehicle used in a pharmacy robbery last week and are seeking the public's help in locating it and the two desperadoes in that rig who pulled off the heist.
Last Tuesday night April 11th, two masked individuals robbed the Sultan Pharmacy, located on busy Highway 2 just west of the Sultan River bridge.
They hit the place just before 7 pm and got away with some prescription meds.
All in all, a seemingly odd and risky choice of pharmacies to rob since it sits just a few feet to the north of one of the busiest highways in Washington State - some 10,000 vehicles a day on average travel it - and one that sees its share of sheriff's cars and highway patrol cruisers driving up an down it all hours of the day and night.
"After obtaining and viewing more video footage, we believe we have identified the suspect vehicle," said Sultan Police Chief Lt. Steve McDonald of the Snohomish County Sheriff's office in a statement Wednesday.
"This vehicle was seen pulling into the parking lot just prior, and then leaving right after the robbery. It came into Sultan from the west, and then fled back westbound toward Monroe," added McDonald. "We believe it's a 2002-ish Audi with a hard top and sunroof. As you can see, it has black wheels and both license plates were removed. if anyone sees this car, please let us know."
McDonald also said that if you recognize the car or the suspects do NOT approach them. Safety first.
Call 911 or Det. Hawthorne or Det. Fagan of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, which contracts with the city of Sultan for policing services.
