(MONROE, WA.) -- If you were heading westbound on State Route 2 between Sultan and Monroe during the 4 pm hour Saturday you got caught up in some very slow moving traffic.
Some folks assumed it was heavy and slow because of the July 4th weekend. That is, up until they got close to the accident scene and had a look.
In the blazing afternoon sun with nary a cloud in the sky, there it was. A 5-car accident on the busy two-lane Highway built for traffic levels of the 1960's.
According to Fire District 7 (FD7), two people were taken to the hospital with injuries and, perhaps amazingly, 6 people in those 5 rigs were not injured.
One more thing. As a tweet from FD7 said, "Thankfully, no one was in the backseat of this car."

And hey. Ya'all drive safe out there, hear?
The life you save might be ours.
