(MOUNT VERNON, WA.) -- Two suspects, a man and a woman are in custody following a fatal house fire of suspicious origin in Skagit County.
KIRO-TV in Seattle reported Sunday night that, according to the Skagit County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney the two suspects have been taken into custody for "suspicion of arson and murder" as a result of that house fire early Saturday morning.
The two are expected to appear in court Monday.
The blaze broke out in the 13000 block of Bay View Road in unincorporated Skagit County. By the time firefighters arrived at 2:30 am the home was fully involved.
It is believed at this time that two children perished in the fire in which some adults escaped. According to the TV station report police over the weekend did not release any information to indicate weather the two suspects were involved in starting the fire.
The woman who owned the home where the fire occurred is a manager at a fast food restaurant in Burlington and had been having "issues" recently with a female tenant she had evicted from the home, according to the TV report.
