Snohomish National Night Out Celebration
August 07, 2018

(SNOHOMISH, WA.) -- This year’s National Night Out in Snohomish starts at 5:30 pm Tuesday evening Aug. 7.

The event is being held at the Snohomish Boys and Girls Club at 402 - 2nd Street and features free food compliments of the The Snohomish Lions, games for the kids, fire trucks, police cars, music, lots of local vendors and more.

The Snohomish Kiwanis clubs will also fit children under 10 with bicycle helmets.

National Night Out is an annual community event that promotes public safety and partnerships that make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out gives neighbors and public safety providers a chance to get to know one another in a positive environment.
Public safety and fun activities for kids and families are the focus.

“National Night Out is one of my favorite events because on this one night, people from all across Snohomish County – in fact, across the entire country – are meeting and connecting with law enforcement and each other to prevent crime in their neighborhoods,” said Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary.

“To be effective in our mission to keep ‘Community First,’ the Sheriff’s Office must maintain a strong partnership with communities we serve. Together, we send a message to criminals:  we are organized and fighting back against crime and drugs.”
