It is a violation of the Sky Valley Chronicle's terms of service to place any commercially oriented ad (such as real estate ads or any other business ads where the purpose is to make money for a business) without first pre-paying for the ads via PayPal, as shown on the page HOW TO POST A CLASSIFIED AD here: http://tiny.cc/z9ywhx (paste this code into your browser address bar)
In addition users who place ads must read our page SHOWING WHAT ITEMS WE DO NOT ALLOW TO BE SOLD ON OUR WEBSITE here: http://tiny.cc/xyywhx to understand what items we do NOT allow to be sold. Items such as: live animals, weapons and related items, including but not limited to firearms, disguised, undetectable or switchblade knives, martial arts weapons and more as well as fireworks of any kind or any destructive devices or explosives, controlled substances and more.
Users signed into the system who place commercial ads without first pre-paying for them will have their ads and accounts deleted.
Should the user attempt this a second time, the user's account information will be turned over to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office with a complaint of attempting to defraud a merchant.
We thank you for your understanding. We have made the cost of our Classified Ads most reasonable at just $4.95 per ad so that anyone can afford them.
By paying for your business ad you help keep this web site free for use by all.
Many other online papers are going to a PayWall concept (such as the Seattle Times) where users must pay for a subscription in order to have full access to the website.
At this time we have no plans to move to a PayWall. This is subject to change.
