Description:

SEPA Notice of Action Notice is given under SEPA, RCW 43.21C.080 that the King County Housing Authority, through its Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. 5213, took the action described in (2) below on March 24, 2009. (1)Any action to set aside, enjoin, review, or otherwise challenge such action on the grounds of noncompliance with the provisions of RCW 43.32C (State Environmental Policy Act) shall be commenced in superior court on or before April 23, 2009; however, nothing herein shall waive any available legal defenses to any such action filed in superior court, e.g. that no litigation review is available under RCW 43.21C.150. (2)Description of agency action: Adoption of Resolution No. 5213 by KCHA Board of Commissioners directing staff to proceed with the project, to wit, by undertaking and seeking funding and other implementation measures for construction of the proposal. (3)Description of proposal: This project, known as Park Lake Homes II, is the redevelopment of the existing public housing community originally constructed in 1963. The project proposes to subdivide approximately 31 acres zoned R-18 into multiple lots and tracts to accommodate 275 to 315 residential units (including attached and detached single family houses, townhouses, and apartments) and approximately 6,500 square feet of non-residential space for community uses. The current 4,500 square foot Highline Head Start facility will remain. The site will include tracts for private roads, parks and open space, stormwater control facilities, and utilities. (4)Location of proposal: The site is located at 501 SW 110th Place, Seattle, generally bounded by SW 108th Street to the north, 4th Avenue SW to the east, and Lakewood Park and Evergreen Athletic Field to the west and south. (5)Type of environmental review under SEPA: An Environmental Assessment, prepared under the National Environmental Policy Act and adopted pursuant to WAC 197-11-340(1) and WAC 197-11-965 was the basis for a Determination of Non-Significance issued February 23, 2009. (6)Documents may be examined during regular business hours at: The King County Housing Authority, 600 Andover Park West, Seattle, WA. (7)Name of agency proponent, or applicant giving notice: King County Housing Authority, 600 Andover Park West, Seattle, WA. (8)This notice is filed by: Stephen J.
