Westbound Traction Tires Advised, Oversize Vehicles Prohibited. Conditions: Compact snow and ice in places on the roadway. Avalanche Control is planned for US 2 Stevens pass on Tuesday, February 28 between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at MP 58 at Scenic to MP 64.5 at the summit. Avalanche control work generally takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. WSDOT will provide an update should an extended closure become necessary. Weather:Snow showers

(STEVENS PASS, WA) -- The search for a missing hiker near Stevens Pass ended sadly when the body of missing Seattle man T.J. Langley was found Saturday afternoon in a remote section of the Glacier Peak Wilderness area according to the Chelan County Sheriff's office said.
