(CHEHALIS, WA) -- Following a strong series of investigative reports by KOMO TV reporter Tracey Vedder in 2008 about the mysterious death of a Thurston County woman, a judge has given the Lewis County coroner 10 days to remove the word "suicide" from the death certificate of a former Washington state trooper.

(WASHINGTON, DC) -- If there was an overriding theme and visual in Wednesday night’s televised state of the union address by President Obama, it is that not much has changed in the hallowed halls of the arguably dysfunctional, bitterly divided and hard core partisan U.S. Congress.

Predictably Democrats cheered and clapped at key points in the President’s address and Republicans sat silent.

Rewind the tape two years and an observer sees the same pockets of wild applause and dead silence to then President Bush’s state of the union speeches, only the players in the pockets are reversed.

(SEATTLE, WA) -- The power of DNA to find and punish the guilty, and to provide justice for the dead, has been proven yet another time in the case of a 50-year old Federal Way man.

Daryl Hart pleaded guilty Monday in King County Superior Court to first-degree murder in the brutal stabbing and strangulation death of a 70-year-old Rainier Valley woman more than 25 years ago.
