GOLD BAR FIREFIGHTERS ADVANCE TO FINALS OF NATIONAL BBQ COOKOFF

June 28, 2011

It must be some serious finger lickin' good barbecue chicken the firefighters at Snohomish County Fire District # 26 in Gold Bar cook up.

Either that or the corporate suits at Tree Top Apple Juice had a bonafide pleasure spasm watching the firefighters’ video entry, as the local fire-dousers put enough shameless free plugs for the juice company in their video (Tree Top is sponsoring the cook off) to choke an Alabama mule, spin him around sixteen times and make him shoot 30-inch flames out of each nostril.

Be that as it may, it’s a pretty fun video and worth a squint. Billy Bob Ray-Ray Johnson, the Chronicle’s in-house food editor gives the video a solid 8.5 cause it has a good beat and you can dance to it. Kind of like Lady Ga Ga’s stuff.

Ok. Sure. This is a guilty pleasure but ain’t that what you come here for? We see the numbers. We know who’s reading what stories. We know you loves this junk! CLICK READ MORE TO BRING UP THE VIDEO PLAYER
