ALL ABOUT WALMART

March 16, 2011

They came once again to stand in a cold Winter rain March 12 on one of the busiest intersections on U.S. Highway 2 in Monroe at Kelsey Street. They started showing up around 10:00 am with picket signs. Young moms and dads with kids in tow, lots of 30 and 40 somethings, old men in beards, old men with no beards, women in wheelchairs, a dog or two, business owners, wage earners, blue collar Johnnies and white collar Jennettes.

They came to say again to the powers that be we do not want a huge Walmart store planted down in the North Kelsey shopping area just a stone's throw from busy U.S. Highway 2 in the city. SEATTLE’S PIKE PLACE MARKET

February 03, 2011

(SEATTLE, WA) -- For many people outside our area of Washington State (the Seattle-Tacoma-Everett-Bellevue Metro market) there are only a few iconic images they know us by: the Space Needle, Pioneer Square, the Pike Place Market, Mt. Rainier, Jimi Hendrix, Curt Cobain, generic outdoor shots (mountains, beaches etc,) and perhaps a few we’ve left out.
