(MONROE, WA) -- Bowing to vocal dog owners for the time being, the Monroe City Council voted 6-0 last week to approve a dangerous dog ordinance that will not classify after the “2nd strike” certain dogs such as pit bulls and Akitas as “dangerous”.

(EVERETT, WA) - A formerly healthy Gold Bar man who out of the blue became very sick last month with a mystery ailment has taken a turn for the worse. Doctors say an infection in thirty-eight year old Cory Zoutte’s body has spread to his brain. Zoutte was scheduled to be transferred to the University of Washington Medical Center by sometime today.

(EVERETT, WA) -- In yet another nod to how serous things have become in the local economy, in front of a standing room only crowd made up mostly of county employees the Snohomish County Council yesterday approved by a 4-1 vote a 2009 budget that calls for the elimination of 160 county jobs.
