NEW GALLUP POLL: 25% HAVE NO OPINION ON HEALTH CARE REFORM

(NATIONAL) -- Results of a new Gallup poll taken of 1,026 adults from Aug. 31st through Sept. 2nd shows respondents in the poll splitting along political party lines on health care reform with some 37% of those polled supporting the current health reform legislation and about the same number, 39%, opposed.

KENT TEACHERS VOTE TO DEFY ORDER AND STAY ON STRIKE

(KENT, WA) -- They negotiated through the weekend with a mediator but to no avail. Striking teachers in the Kent School District voted Monday night by a 74% majority to continue their strike, thus defying a court order that they report to classrooms for work this (Tuesday) morning.
