(LONDON) -- It is a stunning tale of brutality and criminality visited upon a young girl who was just trying to make her way home from a night out with friends.

The UK newspaper The Independent reports a 17-year-old girl is believed to have been sexually assaulted on three separate occasions by at least three different attackers as she walked home from a night out.
