(SEATTLE, WA.) -- Tim Burgess, 68, who in a long ago previous life was a radio street reporter for KJR-AM during its heyday as a top rated rock station, then later a Seattle police officer and then later still a Seattle City Councilman first elected in 2007, is Seattle’s new mayor -- the city’s third mayor this month. and the 55th in the city's history.

(NATIONAL) -- If you use the Avast-owned "security" app for Windows called CCleaner, you're advised to update that software in short order as researchers have discovered that "criminal hackers" had installed a "backdoor" in that software that was downloaded 2 billion times.
