All Vashon-Maury Island beaches closed for shellfish harvesting

(SEATTLE, WA.) – Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP) has been detected in shellfish on Vashon-Maury Island. As a result, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has closed all Vashon beaches to recreational shellfish harvest.

AG’s office says companies are still garnishing wages, seizing bank account funds and threatening to foreclose on homes based on thousands of unlawful judgments

(OLYMPIA, WA.) — Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a lawsuit Friday against several Wenatchee-based collection agencies and their owner for buying millions of dollars of old debt and suing to collect on the debt without being licensed as collection agencies with the state.
