Trade deals between countries are no longer about trade.

Suppose that by enacting a particular law we’d increase the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. But almost all that growth would go to the richest 1 percent. The rest of us could buy some products cheaper than before. But those gains would be offset by losses of jobs and wages.
This is pretty much what “free trade” has brought us over the last two decades.

Did you ever think you'd see the day when lawmakers would go out of their way to make poor working class people even poorer when all the data in the world about the PayDay loan business proves that is exactly what they are doing when they pave the way for that industry to suck more out of poor people than they already do?
Lawmakers such as state Senator Marko Liias, D-Edmonds, Representatives Derek Stanford, D-Bothell, Dan Kristiansen, R-Snohomish and Representative Larry Springer (D-45th district).

You had to have seen this one to believe it.
A number of people saw a "news" report centered on the tiny (and troubled) community of Gold Bar, Washington during the 11:00 pm newscast Friday night July 19, 2013 on KING-TV in Seattle and also on the station's website that left their jaws hanging and their minds spinning.
