HOW THE SHELL GAME OF REAGAN STYLE TRICKLE-DOWN ECONOMICS DESTROYED THE STATE OF KANSAS

May 07, 2016

If you haven't read this, you should. In fact it might be good if this were required reading for every high school and college level economics class in this country.

That's how low our state ranks in having a good Public Records Act

February 15, 2016

Opinion by Joe Beavers

IF YOU'RE A BABY BOOMER THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE YOU'RE HEADED STRAIGHT FOR POVERTY IN YOUR "GOLDEN YEARS"

June 16, 2015

A 2013 article in Forbes said America is, "On the precipice of the greatest retirement crisis in the history of the world. In the decades to come, we will witness millions of elderly Americans, the Baby Boomers and others, slipping into poverty. Our national demographics, coupled with indisputable glaringly insufficient retirement savings and human physiology, suggest that a catastrophic outcome for at least a significant percentage of our elderly population is inevitable."

This is pretty much what “free trade” has brought us over the last two decades.

LET'S MAKE SURE POOR WORKING PEOPLE ARE MADE POORER
While enriching PayDay Loansters

March 14, 2015

Did you ever think you'd see the day when lawmakers would go out of their way to make poor working class people even poorer when all the data in the world about the PayDay loan business proves that is exactly what they are doing when they pave the way for that industry to suck more out of poor people than they already do?

Lawmakers such as state Senator Marko Liias, D-Edmonds, Representatives Derek Stanford, D-Bothell, Dan Kristiansen, R-Snohomish and Representative Larry Springer (D-45th district).
