(EATONVILLE, WA) -- The Pierce County Sheriff’s office is dealing with its second homicide case in three days.

In what authorities believe was a murder-suicide Sunday afternoon a 56-year-old man killed his live-in girlfriend, 46, and then himself at the home where the couple lived in rural Eatonville in the 4100 block of Highway 702.

There were four children in the home at the time of the shootings, ages 10 to 15, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's office.

One of the children dialed 911 to report the shootings.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from the home about 1 p.m. and discovered the bodies and recovered a handgun and shell casings at the murder scene.

This incident makes the second time in three days that law officers have responded to a shooting death in rural Pierce County. On Friday, a 51-year-old man was shot and killed in Roy, Washington.

Police arrested a woman in that shooting.
