Arrested In Gold Bar, WA
January 12, 2018
(GOLD BAR, WA.) -- A convicted sex offender featured on a local TV show about crime and suspected of a home invasion in Gold Bar, was arrested this week in the town of Gold Bar.
KCPQ-TV in Seattle reported that Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrested convicted child rapist Brett Lee Card (also known as 'Wild Card’), on Thursday thanks to anonymous tips that came in from viewers of the station's TV show "Crime Stoppers."
The report said Card was found sleeping in a travel trailer behind a home in Gold Bar and that he had "dyed his hair blonde" to disguise himself.
The TV report also said Card is suspected of committing at least one burglary and home invasion in Gold Bar and investigators suspect he could be involved in many more in the same area.
On Jan. 3rd the station noted that Gold Bar homeowners had reported five attempted burglaries in addition to "eight more successful ones."
The Snohomish County Jail registry lists Card as being held without bail and with current charges of two parole violations and one forced entry residential burglary.
Card was previously arrested and booked Oct.6, 2017 by the Tulalip Tribal Police on a charge of parole violation and in August of the same year by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
