(SNOHOMISH, WA.) -- It was a duplex fire that broke out about 2 am Wednesday Jan. 4 in Snohomish.
Seven people, including three kids, got out safely. Now officials are looking at the possibility that fire may have been purposely set.
KOMO-TV reported that two of the residents of the duplex, Melannie and Cliff Baker told the station on Monday that tires on a vehicle or vehicles were slashed a few weeks prior to the fire and that they had received death threats from a former neighbor.
The Bakers told the station that when someone says watch your back, I’m going to kill you...I’m going to kill you and your children, one should not take those threats lightly.
The report says the fire started on the outside of the house and the Snohomish County Fire Investigator is now waiting for the lab results but has not ruled out foul play.
The Bakers had a surveillance camera mounted that monitored the property and have turned the footage over to investigators.
