Man shot and killed in South King County after fight with another man

(BURIEN, WA.) -- The King County Sheriff's office says a 27-year old man was shot and killed in Burien Friday night.
Witnesses said the victim had been involved in a physical fight with the suspect in the shooting prior to the gunfire that took his life.
Friday evening about 10:40 pm sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a man shot near SW 96th St and 15th Avenue South.
"When deputies arrived they found a man on the ground not breathing. Deputies administered CPR until Medics arrived but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. The man was pronounced dead at the scene," said King County Sheriff Sgt. Cindi West.
Witnesses told police that a group of men were with talking with the victim prior to the shooting. The suspect in the shooting, who was with the group of men, fought with the victim. When the fight was over the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man he was fighting with. he group of men then fled the scene on foot.
The King County Guardian One helicopter and a K-9 team tried to find the men but were unsuccessful. The only description obtained was that the suspect was wearing a red hoodie, said Sgt. West.
Identity of the shooting victim will be confirmed and released by the King County Medical Examiners Office
