News, opinion, expert crime analysis
(PIERCE COUNTY, WA.) – The Pierce County Sheriff’s office is on a roll these days, bringing into the department all kinds of dope and guns that some folks (dope fiends, dopeheads & dealers mostly) are inappropriately holding onto and in some cases, selling to others.
Yesterday the sheriff’s office noted in a tweet, “From 6/1 to 9/1, our narcotics unit served numerous search warrants that resulted in over 32 lbs of meth, 23 lbs of heroin, 4.5 lbs of cocaine, 4000 oxy pills & 29 firearms being seized from drug dealers. That's a lot of dope & guns being kept off our streets!”
By God it most certainly is and if anyone disagrees with that assessment, we’ll fist fight them at high noon on Main Street.
But it should be noted, that the tallied amount of dope noted as seized above (impressive as it is) does NOT include a warrant deputies served in the fine, rural community of Graham, Washington on Tuesday where they seized another $100,000 worth of drugs (about a pound of meth, almost four pounds of heroin) and about $19,000 in cash.
Deputies raided a home in the 21100 block of 129th Avenue East in Graham where they made that latest dope discovery.
A 30-year-old man (from Mexico) and a 29-year-old woman living at the home were arrested and then arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Pierce County Superior Court on two counts each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and the guy also faces one (felony) count of unlawful possession of a firearm without being a United States citizen, according to the News Tribune in Tacoma.
It’s important to be a US citizen if you want to own a heater in this country. Otherwise, they put you in a place where the food is not so great and you take a lot of group showers (and never ever bend over to pick up the soap should it fall from your grasp).
The man’s bail was set at $100,000 and the woman’s bail at $50,000, according to the newspaper report.
Let this be a lesson kids. Crime does not pay.
