Portland Police Officer Found Dead At Home
Result of freak accident

(PORTLAND, ORE.) -- A 23-year veteran Portland police officer was found dead in her home Saturday morning April 15 after not reporting to work for three days.
Officers went to 47-year old Devonna Dick's Portland home to do a welfare check on her. They had to force entry into the house where they found her body, according to a report by The Oregonian newspaper.
The report says Dick "appeared to have fallen down a flight of stairs and broken her neck, her co-workers were told."
The officer's cause of death hasn't been finalized, according to the state medical examiner's office however police say at this point there are no suspicious circumstances.
