Seattle's Amanda Knox Headed Back To The Italian City Where She Was Sent To Prison For Murder
August 19, 2017

Amanda Knox seen here on the dust jacket of her 2013 book "Waiting To Be Heard" which described what happened to her in Italy.
(SEATTLE, WA.) -- A lot of people who went through the personal hell that Amanda Knox went through in Italy as a college student would never set foot again in that country, let alone go back to the very city where her years-long nightmare began.

But the Seattle woman, who eventually saw her Italian murder conviction overturned on appeal, sees the matter differently.

In an interview with People magazine Knox said she's getting set to go back to Perugia, Italy, the city where she was arrested at the age of 20 and wrongfully convicted for a murder in 2007; that of her then British roommate, Meredith Kercher.

In an interview with People magazine Knox - who is now 30 and was released from prison in Italy six years ago - said she wants to go back to the city essentially to close the circle on her experiences there.

She told the magazine that the only way she'll ever come full circle on that trying time in her life is to go back physically, even though Perugia, "is probably the least welcome place for me in the entire world. And that’s scary, but it also means a lot to me, not to be afraid of a place.”
