Sheriff’s office investigating fatal, flaming car crash in Stanwood September 13, 2018

(STANWOOD, WA) – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a fatal, fiery vehicle collision in Stanwood.
The crash, a two-car collision occurred just before 11:00 am Wednesday at 28th Ave NW and 268th St NW.
“One passenger vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The driver of that vehicle died at the scene,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office. “The other passenger vehicle was driven by an adult female who was transported by aid with non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.”
Identification of the deceased, as well as cause and manner will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
