State Patrol Seeks Witnesses In Shooting November 12, 2017

(KING COUNTY, WA.) -- At approximately 9:30 pm on Wednesday November 1st, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) responded to a report of a car that was shot at while driving westbound on State Route 518 near Des Moines Memorial Drive.
WSP troopers contacted the driver of the car that was shot at, at a Starbucks store on 1st Ave South in Burien. He as driving a 2006 Toyota Camry shown in the picture at right.
The victim told troopers that a Chevrolet Impala, "Similar to the one shown...driven by an African American male with a bandana covering their mouth had fired at their vehicle in the area of WB SR 518 and Des Moines Memorial Drive," aid a WSP statement. "The victim also stated that the Chevrolet was previously following them extremely close so they slowed at which time the vehicle pulled up next to them and brandished a handgun. The Chevrolet subsequently pulled back in behind them and fired one shot which struck the right rear wheel well before exiting to Des Moines Memorial Drive at a high rate of speed."
The driver of the Camry was fortunately not injured and dialed 911 prior to meeting troopers at the Starbucks.
