(SAN FRANCISCO, CA.) – ABC7/KGO-TV sports anchor Mike Shumann was pulled from Sunday's playoff game number 4 between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs and sent home after a video showed Shumann allegedly taking the jacket of a Warriors team employee, according to a report by the website The Athletic (https://theathletic.com)
Shumann reportedly took the jacket of Ralph Walker, the Warriors director of team security (and Stephen Curry's personal security guard), while leaving the AT&T Center after a practice last week in San Antonio, according to the report.
That video appears to show Shumann taking Walker's jacket and then walking out of the building with the jacket in hand.
In a statement to The Athletic, a KGO spokesperson said the TV station is, “Taking the allegations very seriously and conducting a full investigation. As a matter of policy, we do not comment on personnel matters."
Shumann is a former San Francisco 49ers receiver and Super Bowl winner.
