AIN'T NO SWAMP BEING DRAINED
To the contrary. Trump is flying in bigger gators to repopulate it
December 12, 2016
Well, well, well. Look what we have here. During his campaign president elect Donald Trump - better known to his fans in the White Nationalist movement and the KKK as Der fuhrer da Donald - couldn't say enough times that he and he alone could fix our rigged ("total disaster!") economy by "draining the swamp" of the gators that brought us down to begin with.
He talked a great game about the evils of Wall Street and the big banks and he repeatedly called out Goldman Sachs, the Wall Street 800-pound gorilla by name in ads and speeches.
So, who has da Donald picked for his Treasury Secretary? None other than that fun Wall Street gahzillionaire Little Stevie Mnuchin -- who spent 17 years as an executive at Goldman Sachs before "continuing his lucrative career as a banker and investor."
How strange. This guy Mnuchin, from his pedigree and entire career, seems to be one of those swamp creatures (one of the BIG ones) that Trump vowed to drain away.
Surprised? You shouldn't be. For two reasons at least:
1. These are the kinds of folks that Trump has been around - and has been surrounded by - his entire fabulously wealthy life. Trump's total frame of reference for reality is simply being in the company of, and understanding the desires of, the ultra-rich. He couldn't care less about some working class schmuck who lays bricks.
2. A leopard does not change its spots. It is what it is and has always been.

Trump hasn't even been sworn into office yet and his cabinet picks alone point to his presidency as being a total disaster for the country.
