New Planning Department front counter hours debut in 2017

(SNOHOMISH, WA.) -- In 2017, the Snohomish Planning & Development Services Department will be experimenting with new public front counter hours at City Hall.
According to new information published by the city this week, the new hours will be 9 am to 5 pm Monday-Thursday. On Fridays, the front counter will be closed. Staff will still be available to the public on Friday, but by appointment only.
Appointments may be scheduled as late as Friday morning.
Other front counter activities at City Hall will be unaffected by the change. Residents will still be able to pay utility bills, license fees, apply for business and pet licenses and notify the City of problems from 9 am to 5pm Monday-Friday, no appointment necessary.
The Department will try out the new hours on a 6-month trial basis. Residents are encouraged to provide feedback to Planning Director Glen Pickus at firstname.lastname@example.org or 360-282-3173.
Input from city residents will help him make an informed decision in June 2017 on whether or not to adopt the new arrangement permanently.
